Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ratio of staff to children?

There are minimum standards dictated by Ofsted to which the Nursery must adhere: for children under the age of 2, there must be one member of staff for every 3 children. For ages 2-3 years, there must be one member of staff for every 4 children and for over 3 years, there must be one member of staff for every 8 children.

Do parents get feedback from staff?

Yes, the children have diaries that are filled in daily so that parents are aware of their child's daily activities. The parents are also free to drop off and collect their child from the room as this will enable them to talk directly to staff on a daily basis.

Do children play outside?

Our aim is to take the children outside as much as possible and we have spacious gardens with areas for climbing, sitting, digging, running and using cars and bikes.

Does the Nursery serve hot meals?

We have a caterer who delivers a balanced hot meal to the Nursery daily.
